Darmasiswa Students at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) Surabaya took centre stage in a memorable celebration of the ITS’ 63rd Anniversary on November 10, 2023. Adding a special touch to the festivities, these international scholars were given a unique opportunity to kick off the event with a lively traditional dance.
Over the past two months, the Darmasiswa Students dedicated their Tuesday and Thursday afternoons to learning and perfecting the dance routine as one of the main curriculums designed for learning Indonesian culture.
Decked in vibrant attire, the international students brought the traditional dance to life, captivating an audience that included key figures from ITS such as the boards, the Rector, lecturers, staff, and fellow students. The synchronized movements and cultural richness on display drew enthusiastic applause from everyone present.
The Rector praised the international students involved, including the Darmasiswa students, for their dedication, emphasizing the importance of cultural initiatives in creating a global and inclusive learning environment.
